Written by Jon Benson and Janis Hauser, the Every Other Day Diet is designed to reduce calorie and eliminate fat without repressing the body’s metabolic rate. The program does not require too much willpower or lowering calorie severely or  a limit on favorite foods.

It focuses on ‘interval eating’/’planned variance’ or simply put, caloric cycling.

There are 3 variations of the EODD Diet:

  1. Primer – the most flexible of all plans; allows you to eat your choice of foods every other day
  2. Lifestyle – this plan is recommended to follow after the primer. There are only 2 “feed days given’
  3. Extreme – most rigid of the three plans; best for athletes and bodybuilders

Each plan has a 7 day system that has different calories and macronutrients and also varied “burn” and “feed” days. Burn days are when you eat less calorie foods such as fruits, vegetables and lean protein.  Feed days are when you get to eat whatever you want, that is, within the plan’s guidelines.
